How do you know it is still on the road?
Is there a web site you can check.
Friend of mine says there is a deal thing you can do to see if it is taxed...

There is indeed a website,
http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/ but unfortunately it gives no indication of where the car lives, only that it still exists. (Which it does).
