This boot lid was as far as I know on the Dutch MkII only.
It was hidden in my garage somewhere. It was a MkIII but
with the hanging numberplate. The SEVEN badge was original
on the leftside with the 1000 on the rightside, so this is an original.
Have you seen this one before ??

Nothing "Dutch" about the bootlid other then the fact that Stokvis in Rotterdam was the Austin importer (Molenaar in Amersfoort was the Morris importer back then and Dirk van de Mark in Amsterdam handeled the Wolsley, Riley and MG affaires until Leyland (Gouda)took it all over in 1970 and degraded the former importers to main dealers)added the Seven script on it as it was until the mk3 sold as a Austin Seven.
At the mk3 they even continued to add a Morris or Austin Badge to the boot!
The lid itselve is a late mk2 "evolution" that appeared even on mk3's but then without the swinging numberplate (the nuts where still there tough!)

You are correcte about that, I had a Morris Cooper 1000 MkII who had a MkIII wire loom.
This one was one of the last MkII sold (in the Netherlands).
