Standard-looking Mk 1 sought for studio photoshoot

Hi everyone,

I know a lot of the content on this forum is concerned with modified and tuned cars but I know there are people on here with much more standard stuff, so I hope this is worth a try.

I need to find a standard-looking Mk 1 (even if not totally standard under the skin) that's NOT a Cooper or a Cooper rep, in some colour other than white, black or pale grey. It's for a photoshoot to accompany a buying guide in a classic car magazine, and it'll be done in a studio.

We can use two studios - either on the south coast in the New Forest or up in East Anglia near Norwich. Is anyone free for a day before the end of the month? We'll pay for petrol and lunch etc, and there should be a CD of pictures for you to keep once they've been published.

Any suggestions or further questions, please bung up a reply or give me a bell: 07837 828133

Nigel

Al, you're a creepy stalker. But yes, we avoided death by drowning and concentrated on drinking ourselves unconscious instead. Stephen and Sam nearly got run over by Moby Dick in the pits, which made their weekend.

Why is it so hard to find a nice, non-Cooper, Mk 1 Mini? If I was after Lamborghini Espadas or Jowett Jupiters I'd have had six offers by now. No fault of this forum, by the way, it's just always the case: the bigger-selling the car, the fewer seem to have survived in original nick. Same trouble finding things like early MG Midgets or Sixties Vauxhalls.

Thanks for the offer. We need a few more studios around the UK, don't we? Sadly I could never persuade the boss to spend the hundreds it would cost to move the car down south and back again.

weirdly, on my way home from Holiday today I saw a really nice standard looking '64 Morris in blue at the garage in Broughton that always seems to have a few classics kicking about - no use to you for this shoot, of course, but funny how these things turn up almost on your doorstep when you think there are none about!
