Makes you wonder how much this unsettled weather is costing the economy overall, it must be a very large number, possibly as much as Bob Diamond's pay off ! So many events being cancelled and no sign to an end to the rain as yet !

Very disappointing for all concerned & I should imagine quite devastating to the organising team who work very hard to provide an excellent show, investing a lot of time & money. I live about 10 miles from Himley, so it is my local show, it will be sadly missed by many local enthusiasts. I dread to think what this weather is costing the economy overall, tourism alone must be suffering badly.

Our local classic show on Sunday postponed until September...but what are organisers and landowners to do? Maybe less shows but bigger using some indoor type venues??? I know a multi storey that's empty every sunday :D

Show's are going to need to be on hard standing if this carries on. Last weekend I was going to do a show, but it was cancelled because of a water logged show ground (Rugby Club). Luckily there was another one which was on a sea-front promanade, so I went there instead.

PS Spotted this nice MK3 S

That MK3 is my friend Craig's.

He spent 3 years converting a new Heritage shell back to MK3 spec.

A really lovely car!

Its a Mini show, what do you expect?

For what it's worth, I reckon that Himley was / is the best Mini show of the year. Always plenty of traders with a few bargains to be had, a superb turn out of club stands a lot of whom go to massive efforts to make their cars look like characters out of Star Trek or Scooby Doo what more could a Mini fan want

Seriously though, with the excellent selection of traders & the cross section of cars on display, Himley is in my opinion second only to Beaulieu, only a hell of a lot closer to me.

I've always liked Himley.

Its one of those shows where eveyone, from the organisers to the club attendees seemed to make a special effort.

Even my kids like it !!!

I hope those involved with organising it (any any other show which is affected) dont get too disheartened.

A good show but I have often spent tooooooooooo much time waiting to get in as they never seem to get the traffic flow sorted. Last time I decided they had had enough chances, a bit like Bingley.

i agree
stanford hall is much better !!

i used to enjoy himley and bingley but it got a bit tiresome and repetitive you know..

the only entertainment was watching dave hollis flap around like a chicken being chased around by a fox ,and the same old people following him round like a lap dog..

not done no mini shows for a few years now..

think some point soon im gonna pop my head back outa the window and attend a few..

and put a few peoples backs up at the same time no doubt!
