I've found the Minispares brackets to be fine when fitting original parts so I'm guessing your bumpers might be different/repro? There are a lot of different bumpers and overiders about now and they don't all go together

You could try putting a slight countersink on the clamping plate so when you tighten it stays put rather than rolled through.

Most of this, has to do with the shape of the bumper.
The old original ones, are different, so the overrider fit in the correct/upright position.
The new bumpers, dont have the same curve, so the overrider sit in a angle, and "slide" off very easy
This is not just a roundnose problem, I had the same problem when I wanted to fit my 2 remaining Wood & Pickett overriders.
In the end I had to rechrome, a old original GT/Clubby bumper.

Dont think its the bumpers as they are original leyland items (have owned them for over 20 years) - ill try modding the bolts to get them to seat properly

PAD - if you're talking about the front bumper on your black car, it is clear from the photo on your other thread that the bumper is a reproduction - the profile is a completely different shape to the originals

.
Those alloy "S" type wheels do look GREAT by the way
