Adjustable rear camber arms

Any views on whether this would be a worthwhile mod on a "hot" road going Mk 1? I have a set sat idle in the garage and wondered if I would notice any difference. Or should I just leave it standard and have the front set up? Not interested in boy racer tat for the sake of it but if I could gain an improvement I will swap. Cheers. Mark

Just buy a 1/2" round file and slot the holes to the required camber.

To be honest I have a brand new set sat in my garage and so might as well just bolt them on. My question is "Is it worth bothering or are they a gimmick?"

Depends on your current geometry? If the rear has some serious positive camber then yes, however depending on the kit there is more chance they wont fit or they are made out of butter, all IMO.

I had my original ones modified so I know they would fit and run -0.5deg. The rear is more stable but one really feel it on a track day. The "look" is much better than a a positive setup.

I would get the ones (yes, I read you already have some:) that allow toe to be adjusted. IMHO correct (for you) toe is more important than camber....

No it's not a gimmick. Setting up your chassis and geometry correctly will make a world of difference to the handling of any car. Most Mini's after 40 years have fairly bad geometry as parts wear out. It is a good idea to fit these and have somebody set up your geometry properly. Paired with adjustable shocks you can make a big difference.
