ARP head studs

I've bought a set of genuine ARP studs. When I screw the bolts in the block, the threaded section is so long that they don't fully go "home". Should I leave them like this or should I shorten the UNC bit a couple of mm?
I personally would like to shorten them.

Have you oiled the tread? Might be hydrolicing? And presuming there's no crap in the bottom of the hole? Don't think it would bother me them being a bit proud, but you could shorten them a bit if it makes you feel better

Run a plug tap down the threads in the block and tap them to the bottom of the holes .

Wow, the threads must be pretty long? Most blocks I've found the threads in the deck about 20 mm deep, but this reduces if it's been decked a few times. Yeah, I like to get all my thread in too
and on the studs as well.
Curious one.
