I remember the old Nikki carb :)

Looks great & has about as much adjustment as a block of wood.

I'm sure that there must have been some aplication somewhere weher they were any good. I never heard of it though.

They were popular with the Beetle crowd in the '70's. It was a cheap way to relace a worn out Solex if you couldn't afford a Weber, and the lack of adjustment didn't mater too much on a 1200 Beetle.

:D :D , do you remember though, back in the day when the lads that were just that bit older seemed to all be buyin customcar magazine and sticking bllody huge wolfrace slots under the pop riveted bubble arches on mk 1 escorts, then jacking em up at the back , spraying them in fairy dust an writing a name down the side ?? bloody dragonfly, his mates was glitterbug   , and then like i said . a nikki carb,,,,,,,,,,,,, brilliant ! so glad i was under the wing of a responsible garage owner dad, who just chopped the middle out of a mini and welded it back together to make a shorty, stuck an 1100 lump in it, plonked me behind the wheel, and launched me on morecambe bay sands age 6 :D , got very close to grange on the far side of the bay first time, no one told me to steer
