having a small prob with these rubbers i bought from m-machine, for a 1960 rear opening quarter window, rubber is far to tight, and not allowing the catch to shut,if you put them on (ARSE FOR ELBOW ) they are fine and window shuts and seals perfectly, but this leaves a rubber seal edge on the inside sticking out. any ideas ??? :!:

I had this issue! I warmed the rubber with hot water and pushed the window in while a mate made sure it was all inside and then he shut it and we left it for over a month and it was fine after that :)

thanks will give it a try, but i think there is too much strain on the delicate catches at this point, dont want to break them? :D

Got exactly the same issue on one of my side windows, will give this hot water method a go also and see how it goes.

I also use a hair dryer to warm rubber up to fit front and rear wind screen fillers haha :)
