Britax lap/diagonal seatbelt

I have period ( circa '64) NOS Britax belt to fit on the passenger side of my race car. As made, it is adjustable on both the lap section and the buckle base web. Just making sure, is that correct ?? Also, there is no stowage clip for the buckle tongue when stowed on the B pillar. Should there be and what would it look like ?
Regards
Al

The car didn't come with belts in 64, only the mounts and you fitted them yourself if you wanted them. I doubt if anyone raced a mini or anything else with belts in 64.

You may be correct as far as the UK goes Ivor but they did in New Zealand and were UK fitted. I am doing my car up for classic racing and the interior should be relatively complete. Are you able to help with my question?

Well since I have never been in New Zealand and you didn't specify that you were, you got a UK answer to a UK question

I think that "Mr Badger" was only trying to help, there was no edge in his comments at all. How was he to know that your question was about a car in NZ?
His answer remains essentially correct. As there were no factory fitted seat belts in the UK in 1964 & you indicate your car is a UK export these would have been fitted by the export department not the factory & what model & how it was fitted will have been a very moveable feast.
I appreciate this is no more help than Ivor tried to be, but I fear that there isn't a "Correct" answer to your question.

If it helps at all Al here's a pic of the belt clip on a Britax belt. Not sure of the year, but it's the same type as fitted to my 68 MK2.
An associates April 67 Woody has the same type.
Not shown are 2 "prongs" which fit under the belt to hold it in place.
I've got a set and a half of an earlier Grey webbing Britax belt with the chrome buckles and the proper 2 bolt tunnel fixing bracket for early Minis and those don't have any belt clips.

Mark,
My question was whether it is correct to have a lap/diagonal belt was adjustable in two places, rather than if and when they were fitted to 'a 60's Mini and after re-reading my first post, that seems clear enough. So Ivor and Mark, if I appeared to snap back, I'm sorry. Just my weird sense of humour !!

Thanks very much InimiaD, that helps with the stowage matter.

The belt pictured is surely the Kangol type and completely different to the Britax. Both were offered by BMC for fitment to the Mini.

In my experience of both Kangol and Britax types then yes, they both had adjustments in both the lap/diag bit and in the central 'tail'

Thanks Dino and others. Both my original questions have been answered now, the belts seem like the should have a stowage hook and both sections of the belt are adjustable.
