Hi all
It may be a silly question but are you able to cut the larger mk3 stainless upper trims down to use them on mk1 doors?

Don't think it will match up, as well as the increased height of the door frame going up to nearer the roof gutter, the shape is also slightly changed to suit.

I looked into this a couple of weeks ago as I have a couple of trims from a MkIII Wolseley and wanted to fit them to my MkII Traveller. When lining them up I found that the top of the window frame between the bends on the MkIII is slightly shorter so the trim is too short on the top rail for a MkI or MkII door.

Thanks for that. Not what i wanted to hear but to be fair, what i suspected. At least i found out before i picked up the hacksaw and ruined one!
Thanks. Tim.

They are not interchangeable. Once I was sold - ebay wonders - a pair of window trims guaranteed to be for the MK1. Guess what, they didn't fit as described above.
