Hi all I'm Rhys, a 23 year old electrician from wales ive lived in west Sussex 7 years now I have owned 3 minis a 1991 rover city mini , 1974 Austin 1000 and trailer both I restored and sold after a little while but I now own a mk1 1966 super deluxe I have had this 15 months but haven't worked on it for nearly a year due to buying a house and starting a family ! I'm now gonna commence with the restoration. I will be using this site to see how others get on and to find out information during my restoration . Thanks for reading , Rhys.

Will definitely be posting topics and pics shortly thanks will be looking forward to getting my super back on the road been 17 years ! Has urs got hydrolastic suspension still ? How do you find it ?

Hi Rhys. Welcome on board.
Hydro suspension, when set up correctly works very well. There are some simple mods that can be done which makes the system even better.

Larger bump stops front and rear and standard shocks fitted to the front only.
Makes a world of difference.

Yes, I made these mods and it works very well. I will be changing to dry fairly soon as mine will be a race car so I may have those bits going spare with very few miles on them.
