Hi,

it seems to be a problem with the cast. The third outlet draws a lot of water.

Sounds like a manufactur / casting problems... I would return it to Dean for a new head or refund.

The head referred to here is the only 8 port head that has been produced by Weslake Heritage. Dean has taken a lot of peoples money, but we all have nothing to show for it so far.

I and a good few other people are looking forward to / hoping for some progress very soon!

Hi,

I had the possibility to handle both heads, the Weslake and the Arden. The Weslake has a quite good Potential. With today’s technology it is possible to produce a good cast. As always it’s a question of people and money. I have been told that sprite owners bought some of these heads too. Therefore Weslake Heritage should concentrate on the result. Harry Weslake would have been amazed.

What is that? Non crossflow 8 port? Who manufactures that one?

If you right-click on Phil82's photo, the image info is "http://www.weslake.co.uk/images/parts/8_poer_head.jpg". So going to the weslake.co.uk site, that head is there on the Mini parts page http://www.weslake.co.uk/mini.htm.

scooperman is right. The head is advertised on the Weslake site with the following text:

"This is the Weslake 8 port 2 tier cylinder head that originally came out at the end of the 1950's. A complete kit is due to be available in the very near future. Please contact us for further information."

but in their news section they write about the crossflow head: "Weslake 8 port cross flow cast iron mini head" and show the video I have linked above.

As far as I understood this is the head that Mark worked on together with Swiftune?! Can't find the old thread in this forum or one of the older versions...

Hi,

here we spoke about the new cast of the crossflow head from weslake, originally homologated in 1970. It was announced by weslake heritage.

Best.
