Started to take my 850 apart some weeks ago, thought you might want to watch.

I have owned this car for 12 years, and its not been running fro at least 6 years now.

That's great! Looks just like my Canadian 850 did/does!

yes you have inspired me to do mine.

I am only the 2nd owner, and it has done 96500km in 48 years.

It is still on the original Danish black/white number plate (KB is for Copenhagen). quite rare now.

I am planning upgrading it with a Speedwell badge.

The Partner badge was put on the early Danish Mk1 Austin Minis.

The Morris Minis had a Mascot badge at the back.

And this car is from an time, when drinking a lot of beers and working was the norm.

I've never actually seen a Partner, but plenty of Mascots. I hvilket område bor bilen, er den stadig i kbh?

Though I'm in the process of resurecting my Frogeye, my 64 Mini Minor (from Sweden) is next on the agenda, then the 78 Mascot.

Jens Christian, Is that your Wood & Pickett? Cool. I didn't know they rusted just as badly as any other late model Mini.

The Willys didnt seem too bad, I love the steering wheel my brother had 2 Willys Coupé,s

And you cut the Frogeye in half dont think I would had the nerve to do that is the original colour Yellow ?

The Land Rover, seems to have rusted in all the usual places nice metal work

Do you know any of the Land Rover guys uphere = store Claus & lille Claus ?

There is also a few nice Frogeye,s around, Kim use to have a Green one, on original Black enemald plates
Dont know if he sold it ? he is into Jensen cars now

Yes the W&P is mine, and dont worry they DO rust lucky for me, was the car not desamed,
then it probably would have been gone by now.

Correct, the Willys wasn't too bad, just small plate work. The engine just needed freshening. It had been rebuilt by Civil Forsvar according to the metal plate, must have been in the early 60's as all 90 of these vehicles had been decommissioned by 64.

I'm not really hijacking this thread. I will be back on to discuss the 64 Mini. Honest!

I bought the Frogeye in 1973 and the Land Rover in 1977. They have served me well and have only recently been repaired for rust. The Frogeye was a bastard though. Originally leaf green, when I purchased it, it was Fruehauf yellow and had already been badly smashed and repaired, including replacement of the entire rear body (original blue), bonnet (original red) and extensive floor structure repairs (very poorly done). It had a pocketed 950 and AEG163 head.

The only Frogeye guy I know is MG parts over on Rådmandsgade, but I do hang around PF-Auto in Lyngby and sometimes the Alfa Romeo guys in hms.

The body looks reasonably straight on the outside. Is that a Stenhøj lift?

OK, are the door pull cords and plastic window catches original? I don't have pull cords (I purchased mine completely stripped so I made some levers.) I was thinking of using a set of chrome window catches that I had left over.

Is that a Morris Minor Pickup I see there?

No lift is cheap dutch one, but works ok
I have a 1970 Morris 1000 super van in need of some work.
The door pull cords and window catch is all original chrome catch is for earlyer cars

All original engine.

I will put the original engine in storage, and make a new one for this project.

Is this a VW Lupo 3L on the picture ?
I have just the same one...

Wife is driving VW lupo 3L, what she saves on fuel I can use.

My daily driver is also 3L as in 3000cc, 6 cylinders and 220HP Merc.

Parts and nut/bolts that need some work

Should I buy new castor rubber, or can it take 48 years more?
