[quote="miniedgt"]i have a 1964 austin super deluxe. owned by my dads cousin since it was about 4 months old. she put it in the garage in april 1975 and thats where it stayed, untill i pulled it out about two years ago with intention of restoring it. unfortunatly i have realised this is not going to happen as i have a disabled son and dont get much time to play cars. and could do with the money really.
as i said its a 1964 austin super deluxe, pre hydro!, 33k, interior has been covered from new with clear plastic seat covers, floors are solid, only rust i know is battery box and a little on both wings about the size of a 50p. paint has gone flat, but does polish up ok. back bumper is missing and so is exhaust. engine turns over but i have not started it. still on original logbook. but i have a tax disk and an MOT cert with the reg on so no problem with keeping original plate
i really dont know what this is worth??
i know what i need!!!
I think if you put it on Ebay you would be looking at £3-4000 at least. It looks like it's in excellent condition.

that's kind of the figure i was thinking about. i have promised a friend first refusal. I didn't want to go in to hot but also didn't want to give it away. as the money is needed for adaptions for my son.

I would say that's not a million miles away, but as it's not running and will no doubt need brakes etc at least going through, I'd expect it to go for £3000- 3500. BUT, as the shell does look very good, it might well make a bit more on evilbay. get it running and you might just get an extra few hundred for little outlay

I agree, I once sold a completely rust bucket, but it would start, when you turned the key
Thats what sold it
it couldnt drive, but the buyer could see it was "alive" and that means a LOT to some people.
If the engine is turning, any decent home mechanic should be able to get it started within an hour.
Ohh by the way, is that a Speedwell dash ???????? those are very sought after.
be shure to make a good big picture of that dash, if it goes on "Fleabay" that will boost the price

1998 pertains to the London 2 Brighton plaque on the boot. I don't suspect witchcraft here though. I think perhaps the bloke has done it to disguise the registration number. Nice honest looking car either way.

Ah, yes I missed that, sorry! Just a run plaque I had sitting around. Used it to cover the plate as I know it is not on the dvla as it's been off the road since before 1983. And didn't know if usscrupulase people could use the details?

V nice. If it helps, I paid £3500 in Feb 2009 for a similar machine from SA with zero rust. But it had no registration papers though.
I would say £4000 today but it will depend on the rot situation.

Assuming its as good as it looks, I reckon the sort of prices being talked are about right.

Ha, well I know who that man is then.
Going to a good home and expect it will win a few prizes somewhere down the line.
