I have the front and rear seats in that colour, but the previous owner painted black over the red
Does this colour interior have a name, and what colour Mini's was it fitted to? I know Farina Grey would have been one.
Hopefully I can clean it all up nicely.

Believe it or not Chris, I poured Nitromors onto my Cooper S Brocade trim as this too had been painted black. Results were awesome. Just keep an eye on it and use a soft small brash brush to agitate the paint. Wipe with a few damp cloths. Great way to clean the trim albeit a bit extreme in any othe rsetting! The nitromors doesn't seem to affect the vinyl. Worth testing a small patch first as obviously your seats are different but I would imagine fundamentally the same grade of vinyl. Good luck. It takes sodding hours.... Mark

Strip off the covers and put them into a hot wash in the washing machine.

Aerosol oven cleaner and a brass bristled brush works really well - will remove paint with no effect at all on the vinyl beneath. Also good on brocade - it doesn't dissolve the original gold detail on the vinyl.

Works great on Scalextric cars too (no wire brush thou)
