Downton Clubsport Seats - Last ever pair un-trimmed
Posted: Sun Mar 04, 2012 1:09 pm
A few years ago I bought from ******** one of the brother who re-launched the Famous Downton Name in 1993. Former owners of Symbol Motor Company.
The last remaining pair of GENUINE Downton Clubsport seats which were un-trimmed he had them stored at his parents house along with some other items such as badges, note pads and lighters.
The seats consist of:
Un-trimmed Fibre Glass Seat similar to Abingdon Works Drivers Seat
Painted in primer Seat Frame.
I have been toying with the idea of selling them to fund my next project.
Do I sell them or keep them?
If I sell them (PM me)
Not going to give them away.
They require to be trimmed and a pair of CORBEAU seat frames to mount the seat to, you also need an old pair of mini seats to cut the mounting brackets off, or fabricate your own.
If I keep them
They will be saved and eventually fitted in a replica inspired lightweight style of Daniel Richmonds 850 mini UHR 850.
Using lightweight parts, carbon bonnet, boot, poly windows, and a 998 with big valve head.
So guys do I keep them for another few years or sell them.
