CS 405 the S.A. Traveller 1000

Post by wolseley 1000 »

Do you remember?
2008 I bought this car and he was introduced on the first mk1-forum. Now, more or less three years later, after importing two new doors from Australia, etc. the panel beater has finished his work and he is presently getting some new paint.

2008 when I bought him

Mmmm, tasty. The shell is looking excellent even in it's present state. 8-)
I wish mine had that much paint on it.

according to the guy who did the paint job this gold is an absolute horror to do. while working on it you hardly see if its already done or its to lees. as far as i´ve seen now there are no tears anywhere and it just feels very nice to touch...... :D

It good to see a car painted in a different colour to the standard BMC palate.

Looks like the gold they painted early E-Types in.

Wow ! It looks very very nice - and I am usually not a fan of metallic colours.

Just a question please : what about the rectangular pressing where the starter floor button goes on an early 850 ?

Cheers
Etienne
