I need some information regarding the correct master cylinders for my June 1962 built Morris 850.The car had replacement master cylinders fitted at some point and I need to know if it should be fitted with the screw on top or the more common later style. I can't find the change over date. Anyone have some info?

june 62 it should be the one with the fake lock nut im lead to believe but not necessarily


(the 59 and early to mid 60 had removable nut)

seems in 62 the later top was phased in,,but as usual there is a "proper long "changeover period..seen some late 62 unmolested cars with later cyl and some early 63 with a fake locknut top type

beauty of a 62 is you get away with either..
