For those wishing to compete against other Minis in hillclimbs and sprints there has been a suggestion that a Mini class could be provided in Longton's Northern Speed Championship. As you can see the venues are varied and challenging and ten to count from 21 events.This could be a good way of getting a Mini series off the ground in the north. This from their club secretary....

We are pleased to announce that the Longton Northern Speed Championship regs are available on Longton DMC website.

We run a popular Speed Championship in the North of England, taking in 13 Sprints at 3-Sisters, Anglesey, Aintree, Thorseby Park, Blyton, and 8 hillclimbs at Barbon, Harewood, Olivers Mount, Loton Park. The best 10 out of 21 rounds to count. The championship overlaps well with other northern championships including Liverpool/Chester ; ANWCC ; L&CCC so why not enter them all!

In addition there is the Longton Speed Series taking in Longton's own 5 sprints at 3-Sisters (15th Apr, 1st Jul, 9th Sept) and the Anglesey Sprint Weekend (6th / 7th Oct).

I could quite possibly be up for this providing I can get the car ship shape. Not sure I'll compete for a season win but it would be good for the one off days out?
