Second place overall scored by Dani Sordo and co-driver Carlos del Barrio on the Rally Monte Carlo means the MINI WRC Team has kicked off its 2012 campaign in style.
"The MINI WRC Team continued seamlessly into 2012 after scoring two promising podium places during its 2011 learning and preparation year by impressively announcing its presence in the 2012 World Rally Championship. Dani Sordo in the number 37 MINI John Cooper Works WRC emphatically proved the performance of the car in the classic Rally Monte Carlo with a fine second place, simultaneously underscoring the winning spirit which reigns within the entire MINI WRC Team." Strong season start for the MINI WRC Team. / News / MINI Motorsport
I had to double check which web site I was on. Thought I'd signed on to a BMW site by mistake!
No its still the mk1-forum when I last looked! some are interested and not every Mini enthusiast has to be anti-MINI by default......Mark F (mk1) has said before he has no problem with the occasional MINI topic in 'General Chat' for discussion or debate and I think a podium finish for Sordo on the modern Monte is worthy of a brief mention for those without 'Motors' tv!

I definately can't see a problem you posting that on here Martin but I do find that statement immenseley patronising to those not interested in MINI in the same way most on here are equally disinterested in Range Rooneys, doesn't mean people live in the past.

Sorry Pete that was not my intention but I take your point, I will edit the original post.
(Mind you there is nothing wrong with living in the past, my kids tell me I do all the time!)
