Historic Day - 70+ Classic Minis going into storage

Yesterday was a historic day for us @Minitechnique.
10 years in the planning, 5 years saving and we finally lifted our 1st classic mini into the new second floor of our building.
It was dramatic and we had few issues, butterflies in the stomach and a heart stopping moment as we pushed the 1st mini off the ramp on to the floor with only 2" to spare a trolley jack under the rear frame to spin in round then it was safe. Only another 69 to go. We managed to get 5 Minis up and lift a pick-up bodyshell.
Were having an open day on Sat 4th Feb and a massive scalextric event.
Would be nice to see some members of the forum.
After the event we will then begin filling the building we have 69 minis waiting to go up there. We should have over 200 in dry storage before 2013.

I'm probably just too lazy to look but can you explain the point of it all? Why are you putting 70+ minis into storage? Is it going to be a museum or just a money making venture to get them out in 10 years to sell the lot?
I just don't get it. All I see is how fantastic its going to be getting all these minis in a building. PLease explain

Have a look at the Facebook page and see for yourself a truly amazing feat!
And if you want to buy something surely just ask Mark for a stock list and see if there's anything you fancy? If however, it's just a dry storage facility at £15 per week for owners, then fair play. That's good business!
