hello, my name is Dean Williams, 28 years old, living in east sussex on the south coast

Been in to mini since my last year at school around 15 year old, when a mate brought a mini mag into school, and we would flick through it and dream
had around 10 odd minis and 90% have been project, but my first mini was a D reg Park lane in black, lasted about 6 mouths untill my beer googles fell off and saw how bad the car saw and sold it on.

been though the faze when i started out, wanting big wheels, body kit etc, but lucky new had the money to do it,
most of the minis i have had have been mk4 80's minis, untill 4 years ago i got my mk1 1962, morris mini basic in fiesta yellow,
its nearly ready for paint, and is going to be a very nice car, ( must do a diary as its had a lots done to it)

since getting my mk1 and being on the last 3 of marks forums i have really got into early minis, and other early cars, like hillman imps etc, theres something about that 60's style and look, i just like it. i old before i even there.

I also have a mk3 riley elf in blue which needs restoring. I going to turn it into a 60's racer, and love the light blue one which is a castle Combe every year in a 60's racer, with the polished stickers and the painted on rear number plate. Love having a look at it every year

my daily drive is Red/black roof 2008 Bini cooper, had it from new, enjoy driving it, taken me to alot of great places and show, but its only my A-B car.

really i want the mk1 on the road asap ( but i dont want to rush as its got to be right), and planning for it to be on the road by may when the car turns 50.

this is a great forum, check it everyday, loads of very knowledgable people on here, always willing to help, i dont post much, as nothing compared to others, but do do read most posts, follow along and learn stuff

hoping once the mk1 is all up and going to start getting into some more classic car shows, and not just some of the mini shows, lovve to get along to the pre66 stuff at goodwood etc
