Hi from Mexico, I'm Nick, and I love Mk1 minis. Here in Mexico the classic mini is a rare car, it was never comercialized back in its glory days. So I drove the first mini 4 years ago, now I'm 35. I imported a surf blue early mini from NZ but had to sell it for fianancial reasons . It was supposed to be my resto project and car for a long while.
Then I imported a real nice 1977 mini leyland in OEW and owned it for 4 years but always had the mind set on buying a MK1 which happen to happened just last week. Is a great 1960 cherry red mini morris that retains many feautures of the 59ers like the straight gear wand and the fleck interior. Is due to come here by the end of the month.
Besides of the obvious mini passion, I'm a lawyer who works in the minning sector of the federal government and listens to tons of punk music.
Anyway, this a great forum with great guys always helping and passing valueable information, so thanx Mark.
Good 2012
Nick
