In my memories, in 69, Buncombe ran a White S MK2 (with 4 amal carbs)...i ve got a photo somewhere in my files. He used the mustard/Longman car later... in 71/72, i think. He made very well in BTCC in 72.
Perhaps i'm wrong...

Hmm Gp2 car with Gp5 arches? Does it also sport a Weber box???

Yes, grp 2!

In 1970, the grp 5 was renamed grp 2! (new J annex)

That's why the famous Vita car of Le Guellec (was a 1968 grp 5) ran in 1970 in France in grp 2 races without mods.

the pictures are the same as the ones you have posted, but there is a good bit of writing about the car that is quite detailed about the spec

And Buncombe seems to not be the driver anymore ? (sticker on the front wing)

Not really a "new" project, but I would like to give a new style to my "S" , as the paint of mine looks like to be the same as Longman's car...

And twin webers... Maybe on the next engine.

I think if you check, that is JB's later mid 70s car that he used for a seasons club racing before doing the BTCC the following year. Converting the car to BTCC spec with glass caused him severe tyre problems.

Please note the magic words in the top picture "and its only got 5 ports"!
