1966 Morris Cooper S. Just refurbing the calipers and wondered what colour or finish they should have. Many thanks

the nos pair i had recently that dated mid 1970's where a satin black colour

Here's a NOS one, it's somewhere in between satin and flat :

i have one in same box but a burnished gold finish...

Some was painted in black as on photo. some was painted in silver....

Natural or satin black, I would say.

The whole lot, drive shaft etc, were painted in "chassis black" like the subframes

I've seen both silver and black on cars of that period.

So, did you buy the car new in 67 and they were that colour?

No I didnt buy it new.

However, I'm pretty sure that they were original.

It was 20 years old when I got that one. But only had 10k on the clock with the dust shields etc intact.

Eveything was pretty muck fecked and butchered apart from the brakes.
