I have a tool which removes the needle rollers but this is not long enough to remove the phosphor bronze bush in the outer end. Any tips on how to remove this one please , I have the reamer to ream the new bush.

weld two slim punches together,,insert and ..whack!

Or take a smal saw blade and cut it

ive got the two churchill pullers which make light work of drawing the bearing and the bush out, those and the proper reamer make doing radius arms almost a pleasure!

in the past i have used a long screwdriver to 'bash' them out

you can also use a normal slide hammer kit with an expanding head

The bronze bush is split. Using a small cold chisel you can bend the bush inwards (the more worn it is the easier it is) and this will loosen it in the arm. Use a pair of side cutters or long nose pliers to pull it out. Alternatively a long drift from the other end will push it out.

Just done this on my pick up radius arms. Took less than 10 minutes each side to get the bush out.

£12, now that WAS a bargain.

a little tip for these, if its blunt they can be sharpened, i didnt believe mark that they could, he did mine, and its like a new tool

#early radius arms which fitted to 59-61 types

can you use the standard spindle that comes in repair kits,,but use two bronze bushes rather than a bush and a needle roller??

or just get the arm to an engineer and get the later kit fitted with needle rollers?

my left radius arm on my 59 is gettin well grim!!

If no reamer is available, any alternative? like the small honing stone as we use in the bore,?
Had try on the diff housing bronze bush and it works out fine!
