Ebay woes

Post by Steve A »

Anyone know seller Bearcrossrecovery56 on ebay? He does sell a fair bit of cooper/mini stuff. Don't want to go into too much detail on here but having a few problems with a purchase and not being to helpful  and just wondering if anyone else had any dealings with him? A private message will be fine. Regards Steve

I think I sold something to him ( a vintage Dymo machine for labeling up dash switches) without any issues. no experience buying from him though.

Looking at his history, having pulled 6 out of 10 items in the last 15 days, personally speaking, I would treat him with extreme caution, he obviously has no problems acting fast & loose with ebay rules.

Sorry to be slightly OT but just a warning concerning Ebay, this engine is being sold by the same geezer that recently completely ballooned a friends engine rebuild (ie. it was totally un-runable).

It's Vale Minis I believe.

I won a mk1 car they were selling a couple of years ago (same guy different ebay i.d. as he has a few). It was advertised as having a new front end and respray. When i got there the front end had rust and rot so i said "i thought you said it had a new front end?" HIS REPLY "well its new to this car it came from another one" . If i hadn't been so shocked i would have fell over laughing  . He re-listed the car saying i had bought one of his other Stock which of course was not true. He can't help himself.

You would have to less than smart to buy something from a person who lists an auction in ALL CAPS and specifically does not allow local pickup / payment by cash. WTF!
