MERYY CHRISTMAS in the heading. Seems someone has been sampling the sherry that was meant for the plum pudding. ;)

"Protest song makes the Top 40
Another song aiming for the number one spot was Freezing This Christmas, a parody of Mud's Lonely This Christmas that criticises the government's decision to cut winter fuel payments for pensioners.
Although it was the most downloaded track of the week, protest songs tend to struggle on streaming - which now accounts for 87.7% of all music consumption in the UK.
In the end, the track just crept into the Top 40, placing at number 37."

Plenty of snow but not a lot of MUD and wasn't 37 the winning number on the door in January 1964 with Paddy and Henry?

I hate xmas as a rule but some wag sent me a Hitler/Eva Braun card and I nearly wet myself laughing.

The authorities would love crush the British spirit but they're not there yet by a long shot.

The last time my wife's mini saw snow was in 1992, so we keep the pics for festive mini greetings.

With a big thanks to Mark for setting up and running the forum and to Gary for keeping it going for us mini enthusiasts, and more thanks to those who have helped to to make our rally car resto a dream that is coming true.

Very best for the festive season ;-)

Just want to join in and wish all the forumers from across the world a Happy Christmas and a prosperous new year for '25.

Still a few mini jobs to do over the Xmas break. Really, just jobs to get me out of the house and away from all the small-talk of the others who seem to call in...... They have no idea just how important these little jobs are when they turn up!

Yes, the Christmas market outrage in Magdeburg. God bless the victims. Just come back from a week in Dusseldorf....., Christmas market, eating, drinking, general merry making and practicing my poor schoolboy German! Saw a silver '35 in the Old Town too. Keeping foreign politics aside, you only need to go to Germany regularly to see the change in migration. But more importantly, FEEL the change in the atmosphere in the big cities.

Happy Christmas all, especially the Aussie contingent, from the Laidler Family in Oxford
