Best way to straighten (coiled) pre made brake lines(fittings already on).

I hold one end down then roll them out on a long bench.
And - recently at least - I also remember to tape the fitting to the tip of the pipe before putting a tight bend near the end.

Clamp two pieces of 2x4 together along the 4” face and drill a hole down between the two in the size of your pipe so you have a grove in each piece.
You should then be able to clamp the two pieces in a vice with your unrolled pipe in the middle and pull it back and forth to straighten it.

Just wondering what material the brake pipes are and how long are we talking? I did the same trick as Tupers only with some blocks of nylon I had hanging around. I screw mine together and used WD40 to lubricate it all. I also stepped the drilling holes either end after my first attempt - to make it easier to pull and push. As this makes it easy to hold, I could do quite long lengths if I was patient with it.
These day I tend to use the straightener first mind you, as it is so much easier.
Taping the fitting before bending? Now that makes complete sense Magic, why didn't i think of that before

And me...... been caught out several times by that oversight, even with home made pipes!
