I have had this for a while now and although i used and cut an old 1300 subframe that i had blasted and powder coated , i have never got around to taking this unit appart and given it a good clean and polish. I do beleive this came from a showroom and was carried out by BMC )probably apprentices) . This does not look like your normal college project and indeed i do have the suspension parts as well but not included in this sale.
The engine turns over by hand and has an extra pully to enable the unit to be rotated by a motor drive via a belt. many of the parts are chromed. i am not sure of the age but the distributer is dated 1961 and i have no reason to believe it s much later. the dynamo has been added later and is dated 73. the bracket for this as also wrong. I have added wheels to the subframe , but off course these and indeed the subframe could be removed. It does have the 1100 ADO16 gear change, but other than that is is a perfect treat for yourselves for Xmas. This needs to be seen and appreciated , and that is why i have decided to sell. collection from Farnham Surrey. PM me for more pictures and feel free to ask any questions. £1300 ono.

Looks similar to the one in link below. I remember going to the Motor Show at Earls Court in London in the 1960's as a kid and being fascinated by the moving cutaway engines and cars on the various BMC stands.
