Could anyone furnish some pics please of how the rear wiring loom gets from the bulkhead to the back of the car, on a Mk1 '63 estate, please? This one's stumped me. I assumed the bundle went along the floor inside, but then I don't see how it gets from the front crossmember area down to the floor, nor how it gets neatly past the floor crossmember nor - especially - past/through the companion-box.

Would it just follow the usual practice.....? From the left side of the bulkhead, up the A post and along the cant rail. An off shoot to the interior light and along again to the rear and down to the lights

Peter is correct. It comes in through the left hand side of the bulkhead, enters a large grommet in the A-pillar, runs up to the roof, and along the cant rail over the door. On my internal-tanked Traveller it drops down behind the door frame and runs along under the window to the rear corner where it drops down to the LHS light, then runs across to the RHS through the rear door 'step', with branches to the number plate lights on the way. I assume its the same with an external tank, but I'm not sure where it would branch off to the fuel tank sender unit.

Curiously the illustration in my January '61 parts list shows it dropping down into the side storage bin behind the door, and a grommet in the rear floor where the wires for the sender unit go through, even though that doesn't match my January '61 car, and pre-empts the arrival of the external tank by several months.
