Hi all

I’m currently building a 1380 race engine.

I have a brand new alloy 5 port head in my workshop for probably 15 plus years .

Has anyone used one in anger on a fast road / race engine?

Was curious if there’s any particular gains over a nicely ported cast head

Cheers jabez

Never done it myself but as I understand it you need to be careful as the washers have a tendency to sink into the head, there are other issues as well, I dont think its just a straight forward bolt on mod`

Person you really need to comment is Rich` - might be worth PMing him ?

Head for head, you'll get better power from an iron head.

When you take the weight difference into account it can be a worth while fitment imo.
I've been using one for 7+ years with no issues what so ever
