1968 Mk2 Morris Cooper For Sale...

FOR SALE : my 1968 Mk2 Morris Cooper 998 with history including numerous invoices for work done and parts purchased etc, plus copies of all of the previous owner's V5s, original shell, drive train, glass and interior which includes a pair of genuine factory recliners, not Newton Commercial replicas. At some point the original carpet has been replace and the suspension was converted from wet to dry.
Probably not the best time of the year to advertise but I already have a Mk2 S which needs further work and I want to buy something else as well (a Series 1 Jag XJ6 / XJ12 or the Daimler equivalent hopefully!) so it's up for grabs. First registered in South East London on 23/9/68, original colour of Snowberry White and Black, in 1979 the third owner repainted it red and silver, in 1989 the seventh owner repainted it in Island Blue and Snowberry White then in 2018 the twelfth owner (an MCR member and the chap I bought it from) had it restored by Chris Spenewyn who repainted it back into the original Snowberry White and Black. I bought it in July 2022 and have recently had John at Coventry Classic Minis fit a new fuel pump, new brake master cylinder, new starter motor, hi-lo adjustable suspension all round and do an alternator conversion as the dynamo was playing up. He also put it through an MOT, which it passed with no advisories. It's currently sitting on a set of early '70s Mk3 Cosmic alloys and is fitted with a Benelite spotlamp grille but will be sold with the original steel wheels and hub caps and standard Mk2 Cooper grille. There's a Mountney wood rim steering wheel in it and it also comes with the original 'bus' steering wheel with Morris centre badge. It's a somewhat reluctant sale as I've grown attached to it and if I had another garage I'd keep it, but the yearning for an early Jag XJ is much stronger and therefore it has to go.
There is currently an annoying fuel leak at the carbs which I'm hoping to sort this weekend (sticking float chamber I think) but I'm asking £18,950 ono for what is a nice, honest usable Mk2 Cooper looking for it's next custodian. I'm not sure which final drive is fitted but it certainly likes to rev, much like my previous two Mk2 Coopers.
PM me if interested, the car is garaged in Rugby, Warwickshire and I can email more photos if required
