Goodwood Revival

Anybody on here going to the Revival this year? Spotted a Stewart & Ardern set on Facebook so guessing a Minisprint will feature, a few familiar Minis in the St Mary’s Trophy aswell so should be good Revival hopefully.

I’ll be there for three days (if my feet can take it) with Minty, happy to meet up for a beer with any regulars off here.

This will be my first Goodwood encounter! Excited! As a novice, can you advice what I should definitely worth looking? I'll attending on Saturday with my wife! Dress code ready!

I'll be there for the duration, wielding the spanners for my father-in-law (Vernon Williamson) who is competing in the Earl of March Trophy in his JP 500. Practice/qualifying on Friday, race on Sunday, so I'll have the whole of Saturday "off" to myself. One of the things I intend to do is spend a while wandering around the car park "over the road". The mix of cars there is completely eclectic and usually surpasses any car show for variety.

Not really got any advice Ted other than to get there early to give yourself enough time to see everything! Lots of great viewing spots around the circuit, lots to see and do. Be great to meet up with everyone , Saturday lunch before the St Mary’s Trophy works for me.

I’m there for all 3 days, 5th time, not the easiest place to meet people due to the size of the place. You could spend all 3 days walking round the car parking areas, (pre 1966 and Tax Exempt) but you will be overdosed on Aston Martins and E Type Jags and then get all excited at the sight of an Austin 1100. We try to look round the trade stalls and all the static displays on Friday so we don’t miss any racing on Sunday and split Saturday catching the bits we missed on Friday and a bit of racing. If you sit down and have a coffee or a beer make sure it’s close to one of the areas with a band playing so you don’t miss out on that.
Don’t forget to go to the Bonhams tent on Sunday to see the results of the auction and to see if Pete’s “Minty” has sold.
And then on Sunday evening and on the way home on Monday we realise all the bits we didn’t get to see and promise to see more next year.
One thing is for certain you will enjoy every minute and will return home absolutely worn out and promising that you’ll do the same next year, Enjoy.

Having been a 1998 virgin the current events do not have the same appeal for me but Saturday is a very good day to go to the meeting. If you want to have great experience I suggest the Paddock area is the best place to visit to get up close to the enthusiasm. As some one has said, one could spend the whole weekend in the commercial market area - and another is the vast car parks. If you're intersted in racing you could see some from the Paddock area. Saturday afternoon is auction time Ted. I’ll be in the auction hall after the St Mary’s Trophy! Anyone seen an entry list for the weekend yet??

I'm there for the entire duration, and will have Blodwyn the Trolley of Joy with me (stashed in the back of the Minivan).

I'll be tied to the Settrington Paddock from Friday morning to Sunday lunchtime; as long as I'm not flat out busy there's always time for a chat.
The Hornetto should be on duty in Assembly as well.

From previous years, entry into the Bonhams auction area is by catalogue only, which will cost you £50, the area is free to view, with results, on Sunday.
