Good stuff there. I drove an Alegro home without using a clutch as the seal had gone in the master cylinder. Starting the engine in 2nd at traffic lights was fun and matching engine speeds to road speed became the norm. I had just come out of hospital after rear end surgery and my wife was collecting me when the seal failed, so not having to use the clutch was a bonus as I took over the driving. A day or so later, I talked my wife through removing both master and slave cylinders and replacing the seals.
