Hi, so under load (uphill mainly) the rev counter is starting to bounceā€¦so

Points gap?
Ignition leads?
Coil?
or just the timing??

I suggest that it's the coil that is struggling under the load of going uphill
Point gap doesn't care about load
Leads, could be, but there's 4 of them to falter
Timing, I don't think that it will make any difference to the tacho, load or no load

I hope others will come on board and agree or disagree

Short in the wiring to the rev counter.
