Very nice project!
(There are fewer 1967 'E' registration cars around because 'E' only ran for 6 months instead of a year, due to the change of year letter happening on 1st August instead of 1st January from 1967 onwards, which was requested by the car industry and retailers to try to even out the peak in sales that was happening at the beginning of every new year).

Similarly, there were very few F registered Mk2's as there were plenty of Mk1's sloshing around at the dealers that that were anxious to get rid of first!

Looking good
What's 'nearly' finished i.e. what still needs to be done?

Made a mistake with the front panel back in 86 when I bought the panel little did I know it was for a later mk (not mk1) took it to a local show where these pictures were taken and was informed that the panel was incorrect so after I have now done my homework it has been rectified to get rid of the unwanted holes on the slam panel thanks for looking.

Glad to hear you rectified the front panel as that’s one of my pet hates … Shirley

Did it require welding the holes up and repainting? Annoying but think I'd have left it, unless you're looking for concours trophies.

I am still a broken person since what the DVLA did to me and my baby but could you pm me when it is available? Or post where you will be selling it?
