New parts that seem a little out of spec.

Hi All
I bought a new floating bush primary gear and a couple of pot joints.
After two new PG oil seals and just about to start on third, it occured to me that I should check clearance between
floating bush, the gear and the end of the crank.
It seeems like there is 8 or 10 thou slop in the floating bush and the oil seems to be coming under the bush.
How has anyone dealt with this.

The pot joins are between 1 and four thou oversize and to make them fit the bronze bushes, they need reaming.
This will make the side plates/dif cover non standard, so if new pots are ever needed the pots will need to be selected from
MSC stock.
Any advice please?.
Thanks
P

Get a refund for the crap parts & try used items as they would probably be a better option than what you have .. maybe try a wanted on here.

The floating primary gear bushes are a disaster, this is just one reason why, but the bigger issue is they eat crankshafts.

I am finding most Pot Joints are 1 to 1-1/2 thou over size and not round. I do grind them to size and make them round, but it's disappointing to have to re-work them.

Good evening
I am hugely disappointed with quality issue.
The cost of rework is not small.

Thank you all for your responses
