Recently I went to a British car show here in the U.S,I was so looking forward to ......., In the category of Classic Mini a Moke took 1st place .(it was the only one!) There were about 7 Mini's ranging from 1963 -1968
My view is that the Moke should have a separate category/class. ( Classic Mini Variant )
Does his happen in the UK?

When I first started going to Mini shows here, the Mokes were treated with a fair amount of disdain by the local Mini club. At the first show we were parked on some rough ground next to the public toilets, while the Minis were in neat rows in the centre of the field. Interestingly, the members of the Mini club have discovered Mokes in recent years and now we are allowed to mingle. They have multiple categories for awards, so they always have a Moke specific class. I won Best Modified a couple of years ago when only two Mokes turned up

. I was outnumbered this year though.

My opinion is if you’re at a general mixed British car show, and there’s only 7 minis/mokes in attendance then it’s entirely reasonable to me to combine them into one class and pick the winner
I help run our local mini show each year. We get about 100 minis and variants and have one prize for people’s choice. It means there’s no longer any negative feedback at the volunteers who spend weeks planning and running a show

Strange entry for the “Best Classic Mini” class at last weeks British Motorcars in Bristol show (Rhode Island, not UK).

But surely as a Morris, it should have been called a "Traveller".
