Down under we call them “race cars in sheds” Long burn projects that take years to finish. No doubt a few of you have had them .
Anyway, calling it time …. Finish or bust.
In the late 2000s a brought a second project mini shell for not much more than a second hand set of 7.5 inch brake set. I had another 850 Mk1 at the time and ran the the two projects in parallel, collecting parts , the art of the possiblity. Life got busy and things sat. Moved on the 850 mk1 at the 3/4 stage.
This left me with project 2 car. A 63 or 64 race car shell. Other than a fresh rollcage and recent rollcage install had no real history on the car. No tags due to the removable front end , Inner radiator area gone and nothing on the slam pannel. Cars new racing log book had Copper S but no way to verify but really not fussed.
Anyhow. Plan will be to try and navigate New Zealand extensive car mod rules cert process and hopefully get it back to a road legal car rather than a dedicated track only car.
I’ll post some pics , just need to work out the best format for adding photos to this forum.
