The van comes with a front headlining, which I assumed to be the same as a saloon front part, and the rear being from a traveller, I assumed would just join up and continue through to the back, but it doesn't - there is a gap of about 5 inches between them. The front one finishes neatly below the pressed panel that runs across the roof of the van about the back of the doors, and with the interior light at it's back edge.
It will actually work out fairly well, as the area between then quite neatly exposes the roof vent (something travellers don't have) so I can make a bridge piece that includes access. I also have to make a support lip as the van of course lacks the inner structure around the windows of the traveller, onto which the headlining sits. Luckily the van is ply lined, so I can make a suitable timber rail easily enough. It will be a nice wee project to bring it all together

So the question is: are Van front headliners shorter than saloon ones, or are traveller fronts longer than saloons?
