Hey guys, I need some advice..

I have a 61 Morris 850
Late engine fitted, with alternator
Still retains floor start

Had aftermarket rubbish gauges, which have caused a short and melted wires.
I've removed them & the original wiring isn't flash anyway, so I purchased a new harness.

The 850 ones are a 4 month wait here so I grabbed a mk1 cooper S harness.

Will this suit my car?
I've got a cooper S binnacle to install also.

Much appreciated.

I would say that you COULD use it, but....... You might have to adjust certain leads, such as some lengths etc etc to suit what you have on the car such as the make/type of alternator etc etc.

What you really need is the workshop manual. The schematics and layout will detail all that you need to know

Really, your question is too vague for a definitive answer I feel

It is very easy to use the S loom in an 850.
You either have to fit a starter solenoid and modify the battery cable to suit, rendering the floor start button inoperative,
Or keep the starter button and join the brown wires together where the solenoid would usually be fitted, and run a feed wire down to the push button battery cable, as an original 850 has.
Talk to the guy who sold you the Mini K van, he knows all about Mini wiring. 👍
