This has been aired before Roger, but in short, with difficulty, especially the modern repros. But you can, by sliding the bottom ends over the lower retaining rivets and then, wiggling the INNER edges UNDER the remaining rounded rivet clips. At the same time, pulling the trims OUTWARDS and down, so that the outer edges clip firmly to the rivet. Then go onto the next one!!!!!
I put a thickish poly bag between the rivets to protect the paint when I did it. Once successful, just pulled the bag through. The ends are pretty sharp so file off the sharp edges to protect the paint too
I hope that someone else will come on board with a clearer or better idea
