Paint Colour

I am trying to find a colour match for a 1979 MK 4 French Mini "1000"

Its a bit of a long shot, but in the January 2024 Mini World mag, page 13 is a full page ad by Cherished Vehicle insurance.
My Mini has obviously been re-sprayed, but I haven't seen any trace of a different colour and am thinking that it was re-sprayed the original colour.
On that said page, the colour does resemble the colour of my car and I am asking if this was one of the standard colours and if so what was its name, RAL colour or other identifying code. then from that I want to see if I can get a touch up brush to match.

Failing that, I know of a car paint supplier who will do magic things and work out the colour, but they don't do touch up paint, just pots and aerosols - but they are 60 miles away.

It doesn't look like a standard paint colour. It is worth visiting a recognised paint supplier and enjoying road miles in your Mini, even if it is 60 miles there and back!
The paint supplier should be able to match your paint colour and supply suitable paint, aerosol spray etc. Good luck. :D

Sixty miles? Sounds like an excuse for a day out in the car.

That paint guide is great - surely one of those codes will suit and "My guy" advertises the BL colours too - Double Whammy.
Thanks

Your other option is to buy or borrow a chip card from them of the blues they can mix for you. You can then compare them to the actual car before lording a can or two to test.

Take the car or painted part to your nearest Autopaint supplier and they'll scan the colour to produce an exact match. I've done that here in Cardiff for a mini painted in a special colour mix. Exact match produced in an aerosol in less than 30 minutes at £14 and the colour scan details saved on a database if I want another aerosol or spray paint.
