Power steering on column.

Post by goff »

Has anyone done the power steering conversion on the column and if so what is it like driving ??? , seen a couple of youtube vids using a Vauxhaul corsa power steering motor , thinking of converting my plastic pig , just wondering if is worth converting ???.

Thanks , see you al at Blyton in a few weeks . ;) :D

The 16V Mini Forum has an old thread of FAQ when using the various Vauxhall Corsa EPS columns which may be of interest.

Mini Sport have recently introduced this Electric Power Steering System for Minis:-

Goff, in the way it seems to work, I believe it's effective, however all the installations in to Minis and Mokes I've seen of this conversion, just my own view, but it leaves a lot to be desired, with the motor unit almost covering the pedals. Might be different in your car.
