What Crankshaft Dampers to use for Historic Racing?

What are people using for crankshaft dampers for racing? Thanks!

A bog standard genuine Cooper "S" damper would be satisfactory, although I have been using a "Swiftune" supplied item for a few years.
Nick at "Swiftune" would be the man to talk to.

Have to agree, not sure of the specification but we have the latest damper supplied by Swiftune, pretty heavy metal, you will need to ensure that the clearances between the radiator etc are all carefully checked and adjusted when you fit the engine with one of these on the front end. We found that the plastic fan we run was contacting the top edge of the damper. Seems to work fine, the previous damper lasted a season with signs of breakup of the rubber interlayer. Ring Swifty, you can't go wrong there, experience counts.
