GOOD news if you live around the Oxford area. OXFORD WHEEL REPAIRS, Cowley, OX4 2TZ, 01865 396644 just stripped my Golf GTi alloys, acid bath dipped to eliminate corrosion, neutralised. Refinished to take out the dings then bead blasted and powder coated then oven baked. Refitted tyres and balanced.

Started life as a body shop with a small time wheel repair sideline until the wheel repairs took off to become the major part of the business. Loaned me a set of VW slave wheels and tyres free of charge while they did the job. Alas, they can't do the same for 10 wheel minis so you'll have to take them in!!!!!

The even better news is that the owner has a Tahiti blue 2000 Rover Cooper Sport 5 and his dad has a ERA mini

Got them back this morning. New special VW bolt-in valves and fully balanced, all in the price quoted. Look like new and chuffed to bits.

Being a mini owner himself, he mentioned to me that he's not averse to fine bead blasting brackets and housings for restorers and powder coating in black (or silver...!). Can't offer a same day service because this little side-line will happen when the oven and paint booth is fired up and running
