Love the first one, do you think the photo is of the tree rather than the Mini? :)

Nice period pics.
The owner of the Mini in the 2nd pic has certainly got his priorities right.
Keep the Mini in good running order, sod the garden.

Got some pics or slides somewhere of an S Mk2 destroying itself on Eppynt.. Bit scary watching it barrel roll down the road towards the spectators.

Rich,

Good to see that the Hawcroft traditions of Motor vehicle storage have been passed down through the generations

Does this show that Mini owners aren't interested in gardening? :D

Ok, there's a lawn mower handle in the corner of the first pic'. Is this a spot the lawn competition?

Lawn mower is a 16" Hayter Harrier, seeing the mower might suggest I do some gardening, got caught out there, bummer.

The Vauxhall is not a Vectra, much nicer than that, its an Omega MV6 3.0 litre, I believe it is the same as the Police use, quite quick too.

The 'other' lawn mower in between the Omega and the bike just popped in for a wash before going for an MOT.....

Spot the other cars.

Red thing at the back looks like an MG Maestro.

Nearly, MG Maestro Turbo, really good fun and quick too, factory quoted 0-60 in, I think, 6.7 seconds, got exciting when pushed hard. As I understand it and I have probably got it all wrong, when they brought out the Montego Turbo they originally turbo'ed the EFI motor but decided it was a bit hairy for Joe public so detuned it with a carb then one day over lunch one of them said lets try that engine in a Maestro and see what happens. I had a G reg one from new, loved it but after the 48,000 mile service it was a bit down on power and I am sure they had the nod from the works to tame it a bit at that mileage, did 67,000 in 3 years with no trouble at all.

I think they built just over 500.
