When installing the plastichrome sill finisher, are small clips required?, or is simply a push on? I see small metal clips are sold, but I get the impression they are used only with the early stainless 3-piece versions. Thanks!

No clips required, simply push on, you can pop rivet the ends if you like for security like from the factory on some.
